It was a wonderful day at Our Savior, Martinez. The Right Reverend Henry I Loutitt and his wife Jan visited Our Savior on January 21. Bishop Loutitt preached and celebrated at both the 8:00 and 10:30 services.
At the 10:30 service eight parishioners were presented for confirmation, reception, or to reaffirm their Baptismal covenants. Those confirmed are Sara Jean Reimsnider, Charles Hagist, Deborah McClendon, and Melissa Hudson. Those received are Larry Robillard, Marilyn Donnan and Brian Chambers. Dana McClendon reaffirmed his Baptismal vows. In his sermon, Bishop Loutitt encouraged all of us to live into our Baptismal vows and to remember that as Christians, even though we do not necessarily always agree with one another, we are called to walk together in love as Christ loved us.
A reception for the Bishop and the confirmands followed the service.
